Our  meals are made from fresh ingredients;  that means we make our own pastry, pie fillings, sauces, stuffings, gravy and desserts. Our menus are created with you in mind…carnivore, pescatarian, vegetarian, vegan or coeliac….we can feed you and we do it well. We offer both traditional and modern food, formal and casual dining..the choice is yours with  Sharing boards, fajitas, nachos, steak and kidney pie, fish and chips, steak, fresh fish….. the list goes on.  Our bar is dog friendly and we serve great coffee, cask ales, good wine and a host of other drinks both alcoholic and ‘soft’.

Newspapers and magazines as well as board games are there for your pleasure and entertainment.  Our roaring fire offers you a very warm welcome and so do the staff!     To us you’re a VIP, that’s why we have a VIP club that gives you rewards for choosing to eat and drink with us..it’s free and there is absolutely no catch.

Conveniently located for the National Memorial Arboretum, the National Forest Adventure Farm, St.George’s Park, Uttoxeter Racecourse and Tutbury Castle we are open all day every day and serve food lunch time and evenings Monday to Thursday and all day Friday and Saturday. Sunday from 12p.m to 4p.m. This is the perfect stop for food and drink before or after your visit to any of these attractions.

Our commitment to excellence has won us seven awards for excellence in food, drink and customer service, with one judge writing that we are ‘a credit to the county’. Now in our 16th year we are still striving to be the best with our youngest chef winning 3rd place in Staffordshire Young Chef of Tomorrow in 2009 , 2nd place in 2011  as well as Best Young Chef  in the Eat Out Awards 2010- that’s why we say “there’s nowhere else quite like it!”
